30th AMIC Annual Conference
24-26 September 2024 

Who may join the conference? 

  • Undergraduate students of Communication, Media Studies, Social Sciences, or related disciplines;
  • Graduate School students of Communication, Media Studies, Social Sciences, or related disciplines;
  • Communication and media educators;
  • Communication and media researchers;
  • Media practitioners;
  • Communication practitioners (public relations, advertising, marketing, and related disciplines)
  • Communication and journalism educators, scholars, and practitioners who are interested to ATTEND only but have no intention of presenting a paper

How much is the registration fee?

RATE DESCRIPTION
USD375 Special Promo Bundle (with one-year regular membership and registration fee)
USD350 Non-AMIC members (Those who have not yet renewed their membership with AMIC or have not signed up as AMIC members as of the date of registration)
Those who are attending 1 or 2 days only; also applicable to tag-alongs of participants
USD275 Graduate and Post-Graduate Students (Those who are pursuing post-Baccalaureate and Doctorate courses)
USD250 Active AMIC individual members (Those whose AMIC membership coverage is until December 31, 2024)
Group rate; minimum of five participants per group
Participants from AMIC institutional members
Participants from AMIC Consortium institutions
Participants from Conference Partners (minimum of three participants per institution)
Those who are attending the conference but are not presenting papers
USD150 Participants who are based in China (may not necessarily be of Chinese nationality)
Undergraduate Students (Those who are currently pursuing College or University degrees; with meals)
USD75 Undergraduate Students (Those who are currently pursuing College or University degrees; without meals)
IMPORTANT: Paper presenters are allowed to present a MAXIMUM of two (2) papers, whether solo or joint presentations. They will have to pay USD 20 for every additional paper that they intend to present at the conference. This will be on top of the registration fee.

What is covered by the registration fee?

  • Lunch, morning, and afternoon snacks from Days 1 to 3 of the conference (except for those availing themselves of the Undergraduate Student’s rate)
  • Access to all plenary and parallel sessions in Beijing, China

Can participants register and pay at the conference venue?

Registration and payment should be made before Day 1 of the conference. No walk-in participants and onsite payments will be accepted.

Is the registration fee refundable in case a participant cancels participation?

Registration fees may be refunded based on the following:

Period of cancellation Amount to be refunded
At least one month before Day 1 of the conference 90% of registration fee
Less than one month but at least two weeks before Day 1 of the conference 50% of registration fee
Less than two weeks before Day 1 of the conference but more than one week before Day 1 of the conference 30% of registration fee
Seven (7) calendar days or less before Day 1 of the conference None
